Despite going to Syracuse I think he is tied in with a lot of well to do KU types that feed him information that serves their purposes.
Petro is the only person on the planet that reported Jim Harbaugh was genuinely interested in the KU job. I imagine that came from his KU buddies wishful thinking and not fact (like a lot of the "inside" KU info Petro seems to get).
