Want to earn their bonifides as a social justice warrior.
Like that attorney general for the state of New York. He was big on the, me too thing. Wanted to make an example of the Hollywood pig.
There was a great line in the movie, stalag 17, I believe. An American prisoner was framed as cooperating with the Nazis. It was someone else and the prison.
But the real traitor convinced everyone that it was someone else. He got the prisoners together and beat the crap out of the guy he framed.
The innocent guy said later, that of all the people who were hitting him, the real traitor was hitting just a little bit harder and a little bit more.
