freshman. I'm not suggesting acquiring assets via transfer is a bad idea. Just giving some examples where leaving the scholarship vacant rather than accepting a top 70 transfer from elsewhere would have likely been preferable. It is possible that a vacant scholarship is a more prudent decision. I've never really seen that guy play so I don't know.
We faced similar decisions for example with Jon Underwood or Jakoby Kemp, where we basically just handed out a scholarship so it didn't go vacant and got no utility out of it. So it happens with freshman too.
