1. He can't subpoena the information yet because the LA case is stayed and the other side would surely file a Motion to Quash to at least limit the scope of the records obtained from this bank even if he attempted a subpoena.
2. He's not winging it because he would leave himself open for defamation suits because he's not offering this info as opinion, it's being delivered by him as fact. Risky unless he has solid sources.
3. So I believe he has a PI with his firm working connections hard...and I bet Cohen talks loosely and has created many investigatory avenues to pursue. The PI would fall under AC privilege protection.
Just some thoughts.
