economically the situation has kind of adjusted itself over time.

You turn college athletics into a huge money making business, but expect the entertainers to basically work for free? I'd say the market has kind of worked itself out. The NCAA and schools are getting rich off shoe companies. So don't be surprised that money is funneling to the highest level entertainers one way or another.
