misinterpreted scripture of all. Matthew 7 "First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye." Once you have removed the plank, then you are in a position to rightly judge. And in case you weren't aware, murder is not a speck, it is one of the biggest planks.
Further, you have judged me to not understand what He was trying to teach regarding judging. 1 Corinthians 2 "But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ."
Moreover, capital punishment is the duty of government, not individuals. 1 Peter 2 Romans 13
In quoting Jesus, you ignore the fact that He, being God, is co-author of all scripture, and He also says we are to judge in some situations.
1 Corinthians 5
"I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not even to eat with such a person.
For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? But those who are outside God judges. Therefore “put away from yourselves the evil person.”"
