A former co-worker was a Marine MP just assigned to a base in Hawaii...first day he's out running and a jeep-load of Samoans in Navy whites pulls up "Hey brudda...you wanna beef?" Now being new to the islands, he had no idea what a "beef" was but he knew from the size of the Somoans, he wanted no part of it.


"No thanks!"

"Dat's cool, brudda!" and they drive off.

He later learned Samoans love fight. Nothing personal, they will fight you and then buy you a drink.
