We are likely in an "Everything Bubble".

They can't artificially suppress interest rates forever, and are simultaneously systematically selling off their portfolio of what were at one time called "toxic assets". In any event, that will tend to pull money out of other parts of the economy even as rising interest rates will tend to slow the economy.

If the financial elite wanted to pull the rug out from under Trump, inserting a pin into the bubble would be an easy way to do so.
