After being named co-freshman of the year last year, I thought she would make a huge step forward in her sophomore year, and it just didn't happen. Her points did increase from 6 to 9 a game but I think she's capable of much more. She is the one guard on the team, besides Sophie, who is physical enough and skilled enough to create her own shot and drive to the bucket.
Her FG% dropped from 45.4% to 43.5%, and her 3 point % from 40% to 36.4%. Decent marks overall yes but less than her freshman year.
Another big problem was the inconsistency in her 9 ppg average. You never knew what you were getting from her one night to another. She could explode offensively, had high games of 27, 23, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16. But she also had low games of 0, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4, and 5 points. She needs to take the next step next year and become a consistent 12-14 point scorer every game and make a bid for all SEC. She's capable of that. I wouldn't call this a sophomore slump, she just didn't improve as much as I expected her to from her freshman to sophomore season.
