Mccabe took an educated risk, figuring Hillary was the likely winner, and helping her, playing along would mean big promotions, more money, etc.

Instead, he got caught taking bribes via his wife's campaign, lying about it.

You'd merely reduce his pension check by 6% for doing that. (federal hazardous duty accrues at 3% a yr).

Most people in the same position do the math, commit the same crime, figuring the long term gain, power far outways a 6% loss.
