Christians admit that the standards are correct, and they have failed to meet the standard of "perfect", aka sinless which required to gain entry to God's kingdom and His heaven for eternity.
Others deny that the standards are correct, and therein lies their demise. It is their arrogant refusal to acknowledge God's sovereign right to set the standards and refuse entry to anyone who refuses His gift of salvation.
I never claim to be sinless or perfect. I have perfect understanding that my depravity earned me hell forever, (not the fake it's going to be a party hell, but the one where the torment never ends). So I have admitted I'm a fallen creature before God, and asked forgiveness, and because of the humility before an Almighty being, I was adopted into the family with all the rights that pertain therein.
I also refuse the attempts to say the standard is wrong or that we can get there some other way. That's not happening. In saying the standard is correct, some falsely assume that Christians think they have kept the standard and think they are better.
Most Christians openly acknowledge that we are far worse than most can begin to imagine, and can't fathom that we are not claiming to be sinless, nor that we keep the standards as we should.
I know I was born in sin. Anybody who tries to lay a sin at my feet will be laughed at, because they think they are announcing some big discovery to me, when they don't know anything about the really bad things I've done. You're gonna call me a hypocrite? Wow, that' shocking. I don't keep the standard? Oh wow, however did I miss that? LOL No, I don't excuse my bad conduct by falsely claiming the standard is wrong. That's what the skeptics do. That's why they are still in their sin. They don't want to face the reality of their own sin, and so they constantly point at others and say, ahha ahha, look at you, and act as if they have never done anything wrong.
That, is the difference.
