Decided he just didn't want to attend the deposition (he was a third party witness, not a party to the suit). That night, knock on the door. County sheriff's took him away in cuffs. Spent the night in jail because of course they couldn't complete the deposition overnight.

He agreed to attend the deposition the next day but I remember him being outraged. Just like this guy. A court order is not optional. Doesn't mean it's fair that you have to take time out of your day, but that's the system.

To this day my cousin doesn't understand why he was arrested.
