When he gets on the ice he looks to go into corners, make a hit and take the puck. He looks for open ice hits less often, but his intent is to make teams notice he is on the ice, and to be disruptive to them. He talks a bit, and on the rare occasion that someone from the opposition agrees to fight him, he generally beats them soundly.

Reaves is more of a real hockey player than he used to be. He actually focuses more on the puck than he used to. He is no Tarasenko, for sure, but he will charge the net and be a physical force.

And the players in the locker room will love him. The fans will love the first time an opposing player takes a cheap shot at your best forward, and Reaves immediately grabs him and whips his ass and blows a kiss to the opposing bench on his way to the penalty box.
