The unintended and unforeseen result of anti-NRA campaign

The pressure from gun control groups on corporate America to eliminate any and all benefits of NRA membership just may have an unintended and unforeseen result, i.e. it may make the "Second Amendment folks" even more adamant in their support of gun owners rights, more adamant that any gun control measure must be defeated and any candidate for any office who advocates even the least amount of gun control must be defeated. Sometimes when you attack a group over a particular position it makes that group more united and adamant in the defense of their position. It would be ironic if the anti-Second Amendment folks campaign turns out to be counter productive.
