D1 ball, and the bigs all have offensive weaknesses and can't catch or control the ball, etc, but one thing I don't get is how so many still defend CM, to the point of talking COY. I'm sorry. Thats absurd.
Over the year I've watched the same rather clear lack of coaching over and over and over. In fact, we probably looked like a better team in first part of the season. They sure as hell aren't improving. My reasons for this analysis are many and every game has them.
Last night for example...we had 0 fast break points. Thats hard to do in today's game. How often do we even try to hit a cutter, open or not, to the basket? I realize bigs have problems inside, which is why this year they need MORE chances inside, not less, so they can learn and improve. I see nothing that indicates CM is trying to do that. There is little discipline on offense as to shot selection, as they often are rushed by either time or maybe the D. And the obvious ineptness on inbounding is inexcusable by now. Nearly any HS would look better.
And so on. I forsee at most one more win this year. Against whom I have no idea. I would love to know what CM tells them in practice. Whoever does know, please pass it on.
Hope the rest of you enjoy the season.
