And per your second point it could be argued that this division in our country is at least in part due to Russian efforts. They have been at it for a while now. CURRENT Russian BOT memes are about GUN CONTROL and the tragedy in FL.

Per your last point - Treason is only applicable during time of war, but moreover - the president's action regarding this entire affair demonstrate abject failure in the office.
