In the famous "Lincoln Douglas Debates", Abraham Lincoln and Sen. Stephen A. Douglas squared off on the issue of slavery.

Sen. Douglas asserted that he was personally opposed to slavery, but that did not give him a right to impose his views on slave owners.
Abraham Lincoln, on the other hand, proclaimed that no man has a right to do that which is wrong.
Although Senator Douglas was personally opposed to owning slaves & thought it would be better if people did not do so, I think we can all agree that he was "pro-slavery". He wanted to keep slavery legal.
That is analogous to your own position, though Sen. Douglas at least seemed to have some compassion for the hardships, trials and tribulations of the slaves, whereas you really don't care about the plight of the children who have their arms and legs twisted off without so much as an anasthetic. Or as you put it, " I don't care."
"What I am in favor of is that it is up to the woman to decide that. THAT is of what I am in favor."
Substitute "slave owner" for "woman" and Douglas could have used your logic verbatim.
