My amateur scouting report of Courtney Ramey: athletic big guard but I'm not so sure he's a natural PG at the college level. I think he's more of a 2-guard. He rebounds well and shows good feet when he has to. But he's more of a vertical player with the ball -- he's a little too upright and ball handling looks a little shakey and his handle is out front.
Odd sequence at the 7:35ish mark. Ramey gets the steal and breakaway dunk while getting fouled. There's apparently a double technical. But then Ramey shoots his and-1 FT and the Vashon player shoots the 4 FTs with the double technical -- and both players shoot from the same end of the court?
Anyone know what that's about? Was the Foul at the end of the half so Ramey shot at his end but the Double Technical FTs were shot at the beginning of the 3rd Quarter so they shot from same end after changing ends?
Ramey appears to get a 2nd technical shortly thereafter and his body language goes a little south along with his ball security and judgement as Vashon stretched the lead. But overall he's clearly a smooth, well-paced, in control player who has the ball in his hands a lot (maybe too much but that's prolly not his fault).
Just not sure he's a PG and perhaps that explains CM cooling on him?
