Its a 19th century tool and a 19th century concept. Nobody needs or requires a gun in a modern society. Its our inability to get past the antiquated idea (same with religion, nationalism, racism, etc) that is the root of the problem. These events are just action being taken on our inability to recognize and adapt to the root problem.

There isn't a legit argument for a gun in the modern world. The only semi-rational one is party A needs one because party B has one.
