sniper incident, for instance. Police had to disarm several legal carriers to make sure they didn't shoot the wrong guy. Cost time and probably cost lives in the process.
If you want basically unfettered access to guns, then you're basically saying that you're okay with several of these mass shootings every year, mostly in states like Florida that have weak gun laws.
These incidents happen over 5X as often in the US as they do in the next lower developed country (Switzerland). Gee, I wonder why that is, and it isn't because Switzerland has more guns per capita.
