1. Without those three guys, there would have been other guys taking their place. Assuming Martin is still the coach and not Kim, we would have won more than 10 games. Not as many as with those guys, but the roster would be somewhere in between last year and this year, and therefore so would have the results. It's not an all or nothing debate.
2. If Martin had been required to bring in 10 guys instead of 3 difference makers, we'd be a lot worse too. The experience and decent to good (not great) talent of a few returners is very key here. If Martin had needed to replace Puryear, Geist, and Barnett, the new guys would not have been as good as those three.
3. Last spring, logical fans argued that the team could win 20 games this year with just a couple of key additions and better coaching. We needed, and got, an impact scorer at forward and an impact scorer at guard. Also add an extra big man to that and we look to win a few more than the 20 that was predicted.....accurately I might add.
The disdain for Kim really clouds some posters. They hate Kim so much that they refuse to acknowledge the ability of his players, when they are two separate arguments. And thus, they end up arguing themselves in a circle at times.
