...was the waste of money funneled to that "search committee". Maybe there's some legalistic reason you have to run a search committee, but that sure seemed like typical gov't grifting to me.
It's really beating a dead horse at this point to keep harping on KA. He obviously didn't leave us with a ton of positives, but he also didn't leave us in a total mess with scholarship situations, transfer situations killing the "degree progress" requirements, etc etc. If his three years had handcuffed the program, then sure you get to complain a bit into the next tenure, but not as it is.
