How he fits.
He is closer to a really big SF than he is to a traditional PF. Not exactly a stretch 4, but in that realm. He'll drive and slash more than what a stretch 4 does. He probably won't shoot 3s as well as Jontay but will be better at attacking the lane.
Two comparisons you could make.
Less talented version of Mike.
Taller and faster version of Puryear.
If Puryear had Smith's size and athleticism, people would worship him. That's what Smith might be.
He was not a post up big man in HS. He was an all around player and was used to having the ball in his hands.
