We weren't winning those games 7-6 either. We were beating those teams by the same margins or more than Georgia, Auburn and Bama were, sans the Arkansas game. Anybody that didn't see progress and feel optimistic during that stretch was purposely holding the team to an unfair standard. Point is...the 1-5 start had EXACTLY the same effect as finishing 6-0 had on these St Louis recruits. The culture in that city tells them to use us for whatever freebies they can, but always take an offer from elsewhere. It's more of a surprise when we ever sign anyone from there.
