I enjoy the opportunity to debate and cheer my Mizzou Tigers on, be it Men's BB, Football, or MU Employee Spearing. I enjoy the discussions about issues and the vigor and passion of fellow Mizzou fans, even when we don't agree on the issues.
Mizzou is a great institution, and despite its flaws, it serves the State of Missouri and the citizens of the State of Missouri and our visitors well.
We all hope that our sports teams reach the pinnacle in their respective sports, and we all want what's best for the programs and the University.
We all hope our student athletes perform at the highest levels and achieve individual honors as well as win championships.
We all have those memories of special achievements and hope they are multiplied throughout all of the programs.
We all have those memories which frustrate us to no end. The Fifth Down. The Kick. Tyus Edney.
We've seen the transformation over the years, for good and for bad, and we all look for the University of Missouri, Columbia to be respected for its achievement on and off the field of play. We desire to be known as a University that welcomes all, and that all who come conduct themselves with dignity and honor, with respect and kindness.
Thank you for all of your responses, good and bad, critical and complementary. They help me to do better. They challenge me to take another look and maybe see things differently.
Special thanks to those who have taken time to encourage me with a direct message from time to time. Those are always appreciated.
