His boss should have been there. That is very inappropriate to have your boss bail on that meeting. That being said, his excuses sound like BS. He’s playing a victim card, and that is BS as far as I’m concerned.

Him complaining that Reeseman was there? She does oversee department HR for gods sake. That’s the type of excuse making that makes me think he’s lost his mind at this point in his career.
