I've watched CVL get torched here for 2+ years.

I don't expect it to change.
I don't expect you to stop either.
You act like it's his fault the team is in this situation. He was the one willing to come here and contribute at the time.
I have nothing but respect for the young man, who followed his dream, has done his best to contribute to the team, did well in the classroom, and stayed out of trouble.
If he has trouble on the court, it isn't because he isn't trying or because he is a bad person. Would I like to have an all world point guard with the same character traits? Of course, but it wasn't my call. Others who might have fit that description chose to go other places. That's not on CVL.
That you bag on him, shows the flaws in your character, not his.
