And we were devout Baptists, so yes, we were strange.
We didn't purposely aquire any cats. We had a neighbor with a dairy farm. First one cat showed at our place, then two, then three and so on. I liked them until we had over 15 hanging out on our backdoor concrete steps. Another 30 to 40 in our barn.
One fine summer day my mother was taking clothes out to hang on the line. While on the top step, laundry basket blocking her vision, multiple cats zoomed between her legs and wham, she bit the concrete 3 steps down. My pappy taught me what to do with those critters and I taught my dogs.
