The GOP is supporting Moore because they need that senate seat and it was too late to find a viable replacement. I strongly suspect that shortly after he is seated he will resign for unnamed health problems or family reasons or new 'evidence' will come to light allowing the GOP to push him out. There is currently a Republican governor in Alabama so the GOP would hold the seat.
Do you honestly believe the Dems would be pushing out Franken and Conyer if there was any chance that their seats would go over to the GOP?
