I'm not sure how an "independent" investigator could be found in DC or even the US on a federal issue like this. Unless the definition of "independent" was modified. Basically it's just what they're called.

At least they're not dems or they'd be incinerated by now.


Again it's far from perfect but it's the policy when suspicions reach a certain level.
