Flynn lied because he covered up for violations
Mueller is holding other charges to see if Flynn delivers with information and cooperation. If Flynn doesn’t, Mueller brings other charges.
Flynn’s son is being sparred as part of the plea deal. Plus, he is a small fish.
Donnie wants to distance himself from Flynn.
