The SEC bowls at this level are decided by the conference with input from the schools and the bowls. It's not like a loss drops is a ring on the ladder and a bowl will have to (or even necessarily want to) take someone else instead. That could happen, but the SEC might also have already decided we're the best fit in a specific bowl regardless.
