Couple things here I said the entire year there is NO excuse for BO to go 1-5 with a QB who will end up in the NFL. There just isn't. So starting with BO... let me make this nice and simple if Drew goes PRO next year will be Barry's last year. Without Lock Mizzou is going to be a 4 win team at best. With the new stadium additions, new recruiting toys, lets be honest BO showing no promise as a recruiter Bo will go!

If Drew stays Mizzou might be an 8 to 10 win team next year. Drew might get a shot to compete for the Heisman trophy. If that happens it should help BO recruit better players. Finishing this season at 6-7, 7-6, or even 8-5 isn't going to help recruiting a ton. He will have to do better next year with Lock he can. If Lock leaves it will be the nail in the coffin. And before you go all haywire on me... we've won 5 games in a row over teams that have losing records. All the teams with winning records wiped us off the map! Remember that! I grant that the team is getting better and if you had round two against Purdue, South Carolina, Kentucky you might win one of the three maybe two. You still get crushed by the others. So this job is not in cement for him he's got to recruit better players PERIOD and he has to find a legit replacement for Lock who is a Pinkel recruit.

Now onto Drew Lock going pro...

First off i do NOT expect Lock to leave for several reasons.

1) The NFL Draft might have as many as FIVE QB go in the first round. Where would that leave Lock with most of the teams taking QB's he might end up in the 4th round where there is no money.

2) If Lock comes back for his Senior season, he would be on almost all mock draft boards as the 1st to 3rd qb taken meaning a first round pick with a huge signing bonus. Better for him to wait.

3) He would enter the season as a possible heisman trophy watch... if he goes out as a SR and throws 40 plus TD's he'd be a top 5 player. IT would be worth coming back for.

4) If he comes back Mizzou probably wins 8 to 10 games and he leaves a real legacy behind.

Finally its better for him to play at Mizzou than be a 3rd string QB year one in the NFL without any real signing bonus.

DREW LOCK should be a LOCK to stay! I'm sure BO is tossing and turning every single night hoping he does but in the end its better for Drew to stay!

Forgot what's best for Mizzou, what's best for Lock is to stay and play out his senior season. Remember he's still YOUNG for QB's as most QB's get redshirted he didn't. So one more year should technically should be his JR season will be just perfect for Lock.

So I'm calling it a LOCK that LOCK stays at Mizzou.
