What we need to maximize this season at this point.

Stop thinking of positions 1-5. College ball, for years, has been
PG-Wing-Wing-Post-Post. The two wings are more or less identical anymore. The posts may be the same or may be slightly different. A lot of teams play it as two traditional but some are closer to C&SF. Doesn't really matter.
You need a solid 8-man rotation consisting of the starters and one spare guy in each category.
At PG, we need Harris or Phillips to step up and be the guy to lead and play smart ball for 25-30 minutes per game. Then the other one needs to play well enough to play the rest of the minutes at least at an average level.
On the wing, we need Barnett and Robertson, to hit shots, create shots/offense and be go to guys. Not sure they can, but that's what we need. The we need Geist or CVL to step up and hit some shots and give JB & KR rest. But, clearly those two need to be able to play a minimum of 30 minutes each and ideally 35.
In the post, Tilmon has to do what he's shown so far but stay out of foul trouble. Jontay needs to continue to catch up to the size/speed of the college game and be a reliable inside out scorer....and keep blocking shots. Puryear needs to keep being himself, just more efficiently.
Nikko is kind of an xfactor here. If he can keep improving and play more, it gives us some options.
The silent killer of Mike's loss is not his scoring ability, but the pressure he takes away from Barnett and Robertson. We already know JB can't handle being the #1 option. Robertson held that job in the past, but we don't know for sure if he can do it at this level. It will help him immensely to not be the PG....if we can make that happen.
