that made your implied analogy a very poor one.
In the one case, playhard seems to be overjoyed that Rand Paul's neighbor blindsided him while he was mowing the lawn causing broken ribs, a punctured lung & other injuries... apparently because playhard does not like Rand Paul's politics. The news accounts indicate that both Rand Paul and his neighbor admit that their disagreement was over (a) relatively insignificant matter(s).
In criticizing playhard's glee in the violence and the clash it would seem to have with the alleged liberal ethic against violence, and the irony that so many liberals at the moment seem to be enamored with the use of violence for so many relatively trivial things I was not advocating a pacifist doctrine nor of not even using violence to defend oneself or others.
Sorry if that was not evident to you.
If you are indeed in favor of pacifism and a unilateral and universal rejection of violence for any reason then that would be a different discussion. Maybe you could start a new thread on that if you like.
