in South Bend to open the 1978 season. It was rockin'! Tons of Mizzou students and alums (many coming from Chicago). Dan Devine was ND's head coach and Joe Montana was their QB. Notre Dame was the defending National Champion. Mizzou beat the Irish that day 3-0. It was the first, and only, time I've seen a Mizzou crowd rush an opponent's field en masse after the final gun sounded.
