Odom's rant just never bothered me all that much.

It was pretty tame by "rant" standards and it wasn't really out of character for him to get fired up...showing it publicly was probably what annoyed his critics most. He probably would have been criticized for *not* showing emotion, too.
Some might say it was staged or whatever, but what you can't change is his voice, which was shaking through much of his time at the podium. That was real.
So the rant, the adjustments to the offensive and defensive schemes over the bye week, getting Logan back, the decision go with his underclassmen, the unexpected lighter back-end of the schedule...all of these things and more have contributed to this awesome turnaround, and it's not a mirage unless you want it to be.
