Pinkel was a much better coach in his 5th year than his 1st and then in his 10th year than his 5th. Etc etc etc.

Same is true for Odom. He's definitely not a finished product.

BUT, in just his 2nd year, in charge of a program playing in America's toughest conference on a week in week out basis, after taking over a program that had just come off a bad losing season and a player revolt and a deluge of negative national stories, he has managed to turn a team around mid-season and show significant improvement in the course of 6 to 8 weeks.

Personally, I'm impressed but I understand not everyone is.
