That experiences or had experienced an excessive amount of violence at the hands of another group, we would have some resentment. We would also resent that other groups among us didn't take a more active role in pointing out that violence. End result, we feel like we're on our own and accept that.
Just because black men commit more crime than any other demographic doesn't excuse excessive force on the part of the police. If a black man is violent with police, that's his choice and he'll definitely suffer the consequences. However, that does not give law enforcement carte blanche to treat him or anyone else as poorly as they see fit. That is the problem.
All lives matter, but BLM stands for their lives matter too and as much as everyone's. They don't see or feel that it does and it doesn't take a genius to see why. They have a legitimate beef.
