He goes the next day to New York with a bag of evidence (they probably already have) and we continue down the same path.

Because Mueller has basically only charged these bozo's with the most minor of charges.

There is tons of stuff left to prosecute on without double secret prosecution jeopardy coming into play.

Trump can't pardon for a crime that has yet to be charged or prosecuted.
