impulse control. Impulse control is much more likely to be taught in middle and upper class cultures.
When Columbine happened one of my students said 'Mr. H you don't have to worry about that happening here." When I asked why her response was 'Us black people don't have the patience for that stuff, if we get mad at someone we are gonna just shoot them right now." There was a lot of truth to what she said.
