budget that can actually be cut.

Medicare
Medicaid
Defense
make up what percentage of the budget? It is most of it.
What is left we can argue about, but long term it isn't a huge issue either way.
Now if social security was fully funded....
We paid 8% instead of 18% of gdp on health care...
And we quit building million dollar bombs to kill pickup trucks and camels..
We might get somewhere.
