First, you guys act like these recruits are going through some MBA type analysis to decide where they're going to go. Hell, with some of them, it comes down to getting "Twitter love" or the color of the uniforms or whether they had a good time on an official visit. You don't know what drives them.

You also don't know that they're going to have options that "look a heck of a lot better than MU." If Odom is retained, it's because they think he can be the guy going forward, otherwise, I think they'll cut bait early. If he's retained, I don't think they'll do it as an annual Barry death watch scenario.

That being said, there may not be other better options available. If you're a QB and schools have already filled their quota of QB recruits, those spots may not be as available as you think - or some other kid may become available when he's recruited over.
