My mistake. It had actually ramped up in '68.
Media turned on it in '67 and '68 and all the lies were starting to be exposed and Nixon started pulling troops but continued the lies.
And about 22,000 more U.S. troops died there under Nixon and it's not surprising the media turned on the whole thing.
Not a surprise the media attacked Dick but they had already gone after LBJ too...cuz that's what media do...
