... only 2 things well.
1. Punt - cause of Fatony (thank you former Pinkel staff) --- but even that they are starting to slip, because they can't snap the long ball consistently.
2. They can stretch the field because of Lock's insanely great arm and some very fast receivers (Thank you former Pinkel staff).
That's it. And the passing game has too much baggage otherwsie to be excited about just their ability to extend the field.
--- what do they suck at? A lot -----------
1. They are horrendous on defense at everything
2. They don't get pressure on the QB anymore
3. They miss tackles
4. They can't shake blocks
5. They look confused in coverage
6. They can't sustain offensive drives, they can only score on home run throws
7. They can't run the ball against P5 teams with any consistency
8. They barely can complete over 50% of pass attempts
9. They are undisciplined on all side of the ball including special teams, taking bad penalties
10. They can't stop 3rd downs
11. They can't convert 3rd downs
12. They can't consistently even catch punts without the risk of a fumble
13. They don't cover well on kick off and punt teams
14. They can't kick FGs or even convert PATs
15. They can't keep even the worst programs from piling up yards and points on us (Middle Tennessee, Mo State, etc)
16. We don't force turnovers consistently anymore
And these are issues that Barry has been having for 2 years.
I see zero way, that a team with all these problems, can have any chance of winning 5 consecutive games (6 if we count the Idaho win)... i don't care if they were playing in the Sun Belt Conference.
These issues aren't going to disappear, all of the sudden. Even when we embarrass ourselves by running up the score on Mo State and Idaho... all the flaws are still there. Warts that big, can't be masked by awful opponent scheduling.
At least 2... if not 3 more losses is most likely.
