During a 3 year period from 1928-1930 MU and ku played an exhibition game in Kansas City's Convention Hall. It was basically a yearly celebration of the anniversary of basketball (37th through 39th anniversay) in which James Naismith always attended and was recognized, in addition to the regular conference matchups. The results of all three contests are recognized by both programs when tabulating the all time won loss records between them.

12/22/1928
MU won 38-31

12/21/1929
MU lost 17-12

12/20/1930
MU lost 40-26

"Today is the 38th birthday anniversary of the game of basketball and Dr. James A Naismith its inventor, expects to celebrate the event by attending an exhibition game between the Universities of Kansas and Missouri here tonight. It was December 21. 1891, that Naismith, then a young instructor in the Springfield, Mass, school of training directors, announced he had perfected the new game to meet demands for a fast indoor team sport. Dr. Naismith has been professor of physical education at the University of Kansas for the last 30 years. The first court game having the distinction of being invented by single brain at one sitting was first played with two peach baskets nailed opposite each other 10 feet from the floor of the Springfield gymnasium. A soccer ball was used."

I am certain neither team will be able to use the victory towards their official end of season record or in NCAA totals (although they did back then). But there is certainly precedence towards using the results of exhibitions in KC in the overall series won/loss results.
