Hey guys, back and alive with an update report.

Got released yesterday after five days in the ICU. So far I'm making a fast and good recovery even though I feel like Mike Tyson used my chest as a punching bag. Thank goodness for pain meds.

The Doc ended up being able to repair the valve instead of replacing it. The staff said most surgeons wouldn't have been able to do what he did. That's great news.

Anyway, it's great to be home. I'm walking around with little difficulty, just tired as hell. Believe me, you can't get rest in an ICU unit.

Thanks so much to all you knuckleheads for the messages of encouragement and caring, it was absolutely appreciated.
