I shouldn't try to defend it; but he starts slow, plays his best when we're well behind, continually makes boneheaded turnovers at critical times to lose games. Is he the best we've got? I wonder. I didn't use to wonder. But, realistically, he has never efficiently managed our offense ... he's a gunslinger. To this day he always goes for the 40 yard sideline pass instead of the 10 yard throw to a tight end to move the chains.
