Basically it's our(society's)own fault for leaving the most vulnerable members to fend for themselves. I bet he has all kinds of medical history showing his decent into crazy.

This guy was an anomaly it appears. A social safety net might have missed him because he was so wealthy and able to manipulate with money.

Odds are the next one will come from someone of lesser means that the strapped mental health care system didn't identify or get a chance to help.
