Does 1.9 get rid of him?

A termination by the University without cause that will require payment limited to the base salary for the remainder of the term of the contract, and subject to your duty to mititage where the University will only be required to pay the difference, if any, between total compensation from your new position and your base salary from the University.

I've been operating off the wrong base. Thanks for making me re-read the contract.
